Census: Utah is nation’s fastest-growing state
According to U.S. Census Bureau estimates released Tuesday, Utah’s population grew by 2.03 percent from July 2015 to July 2016.
But only about 60 percent of Utah’s population growth in the last year came from natural increase – births minus deaths. The rest came from net migration, which is the number of people moving to Utah versus the number moving out.
Rental Rates Will Increase Faster Than Inflation In 2017
Rental rates will increase faster than inflation in 2017 according to a property management organization that has put together 5 predictions for landlords at part of their 2017 outlook, according to a release.
“The market conditions that have made single-family home investments attractive in the past will continue in 2017, though it may be more challenging than before to find new rental properties. Foreclosure rates, housing price changes and mortgage rates will be important for those planning to buy or sell rental units.”
